What is CoffeePass?

CoffeePass is Edmonton’s local cafe passport. The new 2024 Edition entitles passholders to 36 coffees, one at each of our cafe partners. Our goal is to help Edmontonians discover and support our local coffee community.

What do I get with a CoffeePass?

Your CoffeePass entitles you to one (1) coffee at each of our cafe partners. Menu selection varies by cafe , but at many of our cafe partners your CoffeePass will be valid for an espresso-based coffee such as an americano, cappuccino or latte. Check our list of cafe partners for more info on what drinks are available at each cafe, or check with your barista!

Make sure you visit each cafe and redeem for your coffee before August 31, 2024 - that’s when this season of CoffeePass expires.

We hope you’ll bring your friends, find some new favourite cafes and continue to support each one of our partners even after you’ve completed your CoffeePass!

How does it work?

It’s simple! Once you purchase your pass, take it to each one of our cafe partners around town.

Flash your pass when you visit, select your coffee beverage from the CoffeePass menu, and the barista will cross off the cafe’s logo on your CoffeePass.

Then, enjoy your drink! Please remember to tip the barista, and get yourself something nice to further support each cafe during your visit :)

How much does CoffeePass cost?

CoffeePass is designed to make local cafe-hopping as accessible as possible. CoffeePass is $42.50 (plus tax & shipping) and will get you 36 coffees - one at each of our 36 cafe partners.

Can I redeem for more than one coffee at a cafe?

No. As happy as we are that you loved one of our cafe partners, the fun of CoffeePass is that you get to discover and sample great local cafes across the city. We can only allow one drink redemption per cafe - but we're always looking to add new cafes, bakeries, and brunch spots for you to try!

How long is my CoffeePass good for?

Your CoffeePass expires at the end of the day on August 31, 2024.

I ordered my CoffeePass online, but still haven’t received a confirmation email - what do I do?

If you don’t receive a confirmation email letting you know your order is confirmed, something might have gone wrong! No worries though. Check your junk/spam folder first, and if you don’t see anything there, contact us at hello@coffeepass.ca.

I don’t drink coffee, but I do like discovering new cafes - is CoffeePass for me?

Yes! Nearly all our cafes also have a non-coffee drink option (such as tea) for CoffeePass members.

Where else can I purchase CoffeePass?

If you want your CoffeePass without having to wait for shipping, you can purchase your CoffeePass in-store at most of our Cafe partners. You can call a cafe before arriving to make sure they have CoffeePasses for sale.

I’d like to purchase CoffeePass as a gift, is that okay?

Absolutely! We think CoffeePass is an ideal gift so go ahead and place an order as you would for yourself.

What if I lose my CoffeePass?

Unfortunately, we can’t send out replacement cards because it wouldn’t be fair to our cafe partners. Treat your CoffeePass like cash!

Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we can’t do refunds at this time. If something unexpected comes up, such as a move to another city, we recommend gifting your pass to a friend or coworker - we’re sure they’d appreciate it!

What if there’s a COVID-19 lockdown, or a participating cafe temporarily closes?

We’re well aware of the uncertainties in our community because of the ongoing pandemic. The most important thing behind running this program during a pandemic is to make sure everyone is safe and that proper social distancing, mask-wearing, and local regulations are being followed.

In the case a cafe temporarily closes, or is unable to offer service, we will do our best to notify CoffeePass holders and keep you updated.

What if a partner cafe drops out, or goes out of business?

In the case that a cafe closes permanently due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ll do our best to replace them or offer additional perks, but we can’t be sure that 100% of our partner cafes will remain open for business given the challenges they’re currently facing.

In any case, we’re confident that our cafe partners and the local coffee community are rising to the challenge, and that with CoffeePass and the local cafe movement, we can continue to support them!
